MPPs to debate local hospital projects
The Ontario Legislature is set to debate local hospital projects affecting Wellington-Halton Hills.
While we would be delighted to see you here covering the event in person, we understand it
may not be practical. However, the proceedings of the Ontario Legislature can now be viewed
live on the internet, at www.ontla.on.ca. This service is in addition to the Ontario Legislative
Channel, if it is available to you.
The text of Mr. Arnott’s resolution is as follows:
That, in the opinion of this House, the Minister of Health should immediately approve the
planning grant requested by the Groves Memorial Community Hospital in the Township of
Centre Wellington, allowing it to proceed to the next stage of planning for a new hospital; and
should also immediately approve a small project capital grant for the Georgetown Hospital in
the Town of Halton Hills, allowing it to proceed with its needed emergency room addition and
diagnostic imaging renovation project.
We hope you can tune in.
Date: Thursday, October 21, 2010
Time: Debate begins at approximately 3 p.m. and continues for just under an hour
