Georgetown Hospital improving care for patients with
complex conditions
(Queen’s Park) – Halton MPP Indira Naidoo-Harris visited the Georgetown Hospital on January
29, to recognize the Hospital’s efforts to coordinate health care services for patients with
complex needs through a new initiative called the Halton Hills Health Link.
Ms. Naidoo-Harris is the Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Health and Long Term Care.
With local health care providers coming together to work as a team, the Hospital’s efforts are
helping to quickly connect patients with specialists, home care services and other community
supports.
“The fact that Georgetown Hospital was chosen as the location for today’s announcement only
enhances our hospital’s already sterling reputation,” said Wellington-Halton Hills MPP Ted
Arnott. “Our thanks go out to the hospital staff and volunteers for achieving excellence in the
delivery of compassionate health care in Wellington-Halton Hills.”
“A renewed focus on better, personalized care for seniors and patients with complex needs is
welcome,” he added.
Mr. Arnott was unable to attend the event at the Hospital on January 29th. He is serving on the
all-party Standing Committee on Finance and Economic Affairs, which conducted pre-budget
public hearings at Queen’s Park that same day.
