MPP Arnott takes the oath of office again
(Queen’s Park, Toronto) – With his hand on a Bible given to him by his parents in 1975, Ted Arnott was sworn in to his sixth term as a Member of Provincial Parliament on November 2nd .
Mr. Arnott was re-elected to the Ontario Legislature representing the Riding of Wellington-Halton Hills
during the recent provincial election. He was joined at the swearing-in ceremony by his family, his staff
and some of his campaign supporters.
“Again, I wish to thank everyone who supported me. It is an enormous honour and privilege to serve in
the Legislature, and I hope that my greatest contribution to the people of Ontario is yet to come,” Mr.
Arnott stated.
While he took the oath of office, Mr. Arnott also paid tribute to his late predecessor, former MPP Jack
Johnson.
“For nine years, Jack was our PC Caucus Chair. After his passing 2009, his family gave me the gavel
he’d used. I wanted to have it with me as I was being sworn in, as a tribute to him, my friend and
mentor,” Mr. Arnott concluded.
